KANYE BLOGS HIS APOLOGY & TAYLOR SWIFT APPRECIATES WHAT BEYONCE DID FOR HER!

Taylor Swift is trying to keep the Kanye West flap from going on and on and on.
"I don't want to start anything because I had a great night," the 19-year-old told reporters backstage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift spoke out following Sunday's startling outburst by West after the country sensation beat out Beyonce' for the Best Female Video award for "You Belong with Me" at the awards show. Then, West walked on staged and announced Beyonce' deserved the award instead.

"I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award," Swift recalled. "And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. "

And then I wasn't so excited anymore after that."

The packed Radio City Music Hall quickly rose to Swift's defense, booing West off the stage and giving her a standing ovation. Beyonce looked stunned.

Beyonce won later in the night and gave Swift a chance to have the acceptance moment West ruined.

"They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn't really know what was going to go down," Swift said. "But I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she's always done. She's always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she's always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn't love Beyonce more tonight, than tonight."

Swift will get a chance to revisit the scene when she appears on ABC's "The View" tomorrow.

Indeed, Swift may not have a choice in stopping the frenzy and backlash that has developed against West since he lashed out.

Already, big-name celebrities are Twittering about the incident and supporting Swift. "Kanye West is the biggest piece of s*** on earth," P!nk tweeted. "Quote me."

"I've been getting so many text messages and everybody's been really nice," Swift said. "So I've had a really, really fun night. It's been interesting definitely. It's definitely been an interesting night."

West was swift to apologize for his outrageously inappropriate outburst – on his blog, anyway.

"I'M SOOOOO SORRY," he began – all in caps, of course.

The 32-year-old rapper, spotted swilling Hennessey on the red carpet prior to interrupting the young singer's acceptance speech, admitted digitally that he was "in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment."

The loudmouth couldn't stop himself from reiterating in his blog however that "Beyonce's video was the best of this decade."

He concluded, "I'm sorry to my fans if I let you guys down . . . I'm sorry to my friends at MTV . . . I will apologize to Taylor."

"I feel really bad for Taylor and I am sincerely sorry."

Although he claimed to have apologized to Swift's mother on Sunday, a source told Us Weekly that is "not true."

Actions speak louder than blogs, however, and the controversial artist gets another shot at addressing his bizarre stunt during his appearance on Jay Leno's primetime premiere Monday night on NBC where he'll be performing with Jay-Z and Rihanna.
