The 16-year-old son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith wore a black and white dress with a black suit jacket when he escorted "Hunger Games" actress Amandla Stenberg to her prom on Saturday.
"To all my loves: thanks for a great night," she captioned a selfie of the pair on Instagram.
The close up shot showed off their style with Stenberg rocking silver braids with her bronze dress, while Smith complemented her look with a white and gold glove to accessorize his unique prom attire.
A full length shot the 16-year-old actress posted gives a better look at their getup.
"Here's to highschool," she captioned the photo with Smith's arm wrapped around her shoulder as she stands by his side.
The young lady gifted her date, who she described as a "gentleman," with a corsage and shared a photo of Smith smelling the white flower that's pinned to his jacket's lapel.
This isn't the first time Smith has pushed the boundaries with his gender-neutral fashion sense. Not only did he introduce tunics and skirts in his 2013 line of clothes for his label, MSFTSrep, but he also tweeted to fans in April about going to buy "some girl clothes, I mean 'clothes.'"
Smith has since deleted his Twitter and Facebook pages and changed his public Instagram account to private.
"That moment when your (sic) wearing a dress with no pants and you swerve way to hard," he later tweeted on April 9, reports People.
