Idris Elba Welcomes A Baby Boy

Idris Elba is a proud father of a baby boy!

The 41-year-old "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" actor welcomed a son into the world with girlfriend, Naiyana Garth, Thursday.

Elba took to Twitter Friday to announce his happy news and share a sweet snapshot of the newborn gripping his finger.

"My son, Winston Elba, was born yesterday. Truly amazing," he wrote.

The new parents have been dating since last March and when news broke of Garth's pregnancy a friend of the couple told the UK's Mirror, they "are so in love and this is the icing on the cake for them."

"She is absolutely lovely and she’s looking radiant. Her and Idris are a great couple and feel lucky to have found each other."

Little Winston is the second child for Elba, who has an 11-year-old daughter, Isan, with ex-wife, Dormowa Sherma.

Elba chose to name his bundle of joy after his late father, who lost his battle to lung cancer last fall.
