Hank Baskett's football career just went to the dogs.
The Philadelphia Eagles yesterday handed walking papers to Baskett, husband of former Playboy model and reality-show star Kendra Wilkinson, to make room on the roster for another player: Michael Vick, the ex-con quarterback at the center of an infamous dog-abuse scandal.

According to Eonline.com, Baskett, 27, was cut after moving to the Philly suburbs following his wedding this summer at the Playboy mansion - where 24-year-old Wilkinson co-starred as one of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends in the E! reality series, "The Girls Next Door."

Wilkinson, who is expecting the couple's first baby in December, is now the star of her own E! reality show, "Kendra," on which her wide receiver hubby is often featured.

No word on whether Baskett will get more air time now that he's unemployed
