F**K THE POLICE! THE NYPD IS OUTTA LINE! RECORD NUMBERS FOR STOP & FRISK IN A 3 MONTH TIME PERIOD!

Police reported a record number of stop-and-frisk encounters for the first quarter of the year - and civil liberties groups are fuming over the spike.

Cops stopped and questioned 183,326 people in the city between January and March, about 22% more than the 149,753 stops recorded over the corresponding period last year.

Only about 12% of those interrogated this year were arrested or issued a summons.

"Stopping and frisking hundreds of thousands of innocent people each year makes nobody safer," said Christopher Dunn, associate legal director of the New York Civil Liberties Union.

"It only increases distrust and resentment between police and the communities they are sworn to protect."

Last year, the NYPD recorded a total of 601,055 stop, question and frisk encounters, according to police data.
