Eminem Apologizes For Homophobic Slur On ‘Kamikaze’

Eminem knows he messed up when he rapped homophobic lyrics on his latest album “Kamikaze.”

In the song “The Fall,” Eminem raps, “Tyler create nothin’, I see why you called yourself a f—-t, bitch,” in reference to Tyler, the Creator. In a multi-part interview with Sway Calloway—in which he also discussed his feud with Machine Gun Kelly—Eminem explained he was trying to defend himself but regrets his word choice now.

“I think the word that I called him on that song was one of the things where I felt like, ‘This might be too far.’”

Slim Shady added, “Because in my quest to hurt him, I realize that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it.”

As production continued on the album, Eminem, 45, realized he was uncomfortable with the slur, so he tried to make it harder to hear. He admitted it didn’t work.

Eminem’s feud with Tyler, the Creator stems from when he appeared to make fun of Eminem’s 2017 single “Walk on Water”, tweeting, “Dear god this song is horrible, sheesh how the f–k.” The 27-year-old didn’t specifically mention the song in his tweet.
