Drake Wanted To Have Kids With Rihanna

Before Drake had a baby with a former porn star, he wanted to have kids with Rihanna.

“As life takes shape and teaches you your own lessons, I end up in this situation where I don’t have the fairy tale, like, ‘Oh, Drake started a family with Rihanna and this is like so perfect,'” Drake, 31, lamented on LeBron James’ “The Shop” this weekend.

“It looks so good on paper,” the “Scorpion” rapper said. “By the way, I wanted that too at one time.”

Rihanna and Drake’s relationship was only briefly public in summer 2016 after years of under-the-radar, on-again-off-again drama, but flamed out seemingly for good shortly after.

In May, Rihanna, 30, admitted to Vogue that Drake’s gushing 2016 MTV VMAs speech for her made her uncomfortable, adding, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

Since their split, Rihanna’s been linked to Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel, while Drake welcomed son Adonis with Sophie Brussaux in October 2017, which he kept a secret until confirming his paternity on his latest album.

“I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, you know, we’ve had our moments,” Drake said of Brussaux, adding that Adonis is a “beautiful boy.”

“I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to like, not love his mother, or I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother,” he said. “We have found ourselves in a situation, and we are both equally responsible.”
