Drake’s ‘More Life’ Breaks Single Day Streaming Record On Spotify

Drake continues to break records in the streaming world. The Toronto rapper has broken the single day streaming record on Spotify thanks to his new playlist More Life. Drake racked up 76,355,041 total streams on March 19, breaking a record previously held by Ed Sheeran. Sheeran earned 68,695,172 total streams on March 3.

Drizzy’s new project More Life also set the record for most first day streams of an album. The playlist was streamed an astounding 61,302,082 time on March 19. More Life surpassed the 56,727,861 streams that Ed Sheeran’s album Divide received on March 3.

Spotify has become the kingdom of Drake as he dominates the streaming platform. Earlier this week, Drake became the first artist to hit 10 billion streams on Spotify. Last year, his hit single “One Dance” was the first song to surpass one billion streams on the streaming service.

Drake could be well on his way to setting more records since More Life has only been out for a couple days. The project debuted this past Saturday (March 18) on OVO Sound Radio before becoming available on multiple streaming outlets.

More Life features guest appearances by Kanye West, Young Thug, Quavo, Travis Scott, Sampha, Skepta, Giggs, PARTYNEXTDOOR and many more. Boi-1da, Frank Dukes and Nineteen85 are among the producers on the project.
