Drake-Produced Documentary About Military Vets Gets Picked Up By Showtime

Drake is continuing to spread his influence into the television world. Showtime has picked up a documentary executive-produced by Drizzy, exploring the plight of veterans in their post-military life, Deadline reported and Billboard confirmed.

Ready for War was co-created by directors Andrew Renzi and Nick Boar. Drizzy's manager, Future the Prince, also received an executive producer credit on the eOne and Cedar Park film. RFW reportedly delves into "the issues of post-military service, including PTSD, drug abuse and crime convictions for combat veterans, as well as the larger ramifications for immigrant soldiers."

The doc will take a deep dive into the deportation of American soliders and the military's connection to the Mexican drug cartel. Showtime is yet to announce any sort of time frame as to when Ready for War will debut.

During a London tour stop in April, Drake premiered the trailer for his Netflix show Top Boy, which the 6 God actually revived because he was such a fan of the U.K. drama series that ended after just two seasons in 2013.
