IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

50 Cent says he has decided to hold up the release of his long-awaited LP, Before I Self Destruct, yet again. Fif, in Poland for a concert, told a local media outlet that instead of the previously announced September release date, he's now looking at the first week of November, according to a video interview posted on 50's Web Site.
"I had the time make it and remake it," he said of his work. "I didn't have that [kind of time] on my other projects. I was limited, just because the system was in a state of confusion with things changing. The music business itself changed. It was periods of time I felt I was ready and it wasn't a possibility for me to release the record at that point. Then the Eminem train came running down the track — I had to get out of the way to let Eminem's record come out. Because he had been off for two years, it made sense for me to let him come out first. My new album, it should be out early November. The first week of November."

Fif also alluded to a yet another album he wants to put out in the future.

"I'm working on a project that's so far away from what they've heard from in the past, they'll be surprised to hear what creatively I came up with."

50 has a concert planned for Six Flags Great Adventures in New Jersey on Saturday. The G-Unit general has around 30 buses transporting the locals in his home neighborhood of Southside Jamaica Queens to the amusement park. The next day, he'll be in Queens for "40 Day," a huge gathering of the neighborhood with food and music.

50 has also blocked out October 3 for his This Is 50 Festival at Governor's Island in New York Harbor. Wale, Kid Cudi and Mike Posner are also scheduled to perform.
