50 Cent And Exonerated Ex-Con Go Into Showbiz Together

That’s what we call making things Wright

Isaac Wright Jr, who was sentenced to life on drug charges, then exonerated after spending nine years in a New Jersey prison, says that he is the subject of an upcoming TV series that he says is being produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

And that’s not even the happy ending.

Wright was also sworn in as a licensed attorney and granted admission to the bar of the New Jersey Supreme Court on September 27, 2017.

Wright crossed paths with Fitty after an illegal fight club up in the Bronx approached him with hopes he could help them become legit. Apparently someone in da’ club had a connection to 50 Cent, a known fight enthusiast, and wanted to him to get behind the underground boxing league, which is called BX Fight Club.

“The guy running the fight club came to me and said ‘If we can get 50 to come to the fights, it will really blow us up,” Wright said. “But he has a promoter's license and he won’t come because we're illegal. Can you help us get a license?”

At the time, Wright says the fight club had spent around $70,000 with other lawyers, but none of them could land a knockout blow in court.

It just so happened that while in jail, Wright says he passed time studying law and learning to write motions. He looked into the way that policemen and firemen were able to put on fight cards and found the loophole he needed.

As soon as the fight club became legal, 50 Cent attended a match. Once there, he apparently heard about Wright’s story and took an interest in bringing it to the big screen.

Wright likes to call his story “From Life To Litigator” though it’s unclear whether that title will stick when the show goes into production.
